The lodge is spacious and offers four bedrooms, sleeping up to ten people in six singles, two bunk beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge. The timber cabin is situated in its own beautiful woodland setting with all the amenities of the forestry centre on hand, including a wealth of woods, meadows, trails, bird hides, ponds, a sensory garden and play areas to explore. Chestnut has two specially adapted accessible wet rooms, allowing separate facilities for carers. The kitchen area offers lowered worktops and includes a range of adapted cutlery. It also benefits from a garden area where you can relax, take in the views, the rich wildlife and even enjoy a barbeque.

Three of the twin bedrooms are ideal for wheelchair guests with the toilets accessible from both sides, lowered light switches and two extra large shower rooms including roll in shower. The kitchen is also designed with lowered worktops and has special needs kitchen utensils. There are also emergency pull cords in all rooms. These family lodges are well equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, digital television plus outside a barbeque and garden area.
